The Valley of New Castle held its annual Pancake Dinner, Saturday, January 17, 2009.
Over 700 family, friends, members and prospective members of the Valley of New Castle enjoyed the best buttermilk and buckwheat pancakes, whole-hog sausage, and wonderful fellowship.
Many, many thanks to the dozens of workers that made this event possible once again!
Officers, members, and family of the Valley of New Castle, New Castle Rainbow Girls, New Castle DeMolay, Steel City DeMolay, and their advisors teamed up to raise money for the New Castle 32° Masonic Learning Center for Children.

Kudos and thanks to the
members and families in making the Pancake, Buckwheat, and Sausage
another successful event. Once again the cooks and dinner crews met in
the 3rd Saturday in January, served 726 patrons, and grossed $5,590.80
less $1,208.39 in expenses for a total net of $4,382.41, all for the
32° Masonic Learning Center for Children!
Advanced ticket sales are the key to our success. The Pancake Committee thanks each of you for your efforts. If you are willing to sell tickets in your area for next year’s dinner, please contact ticket chairman, John R. Seltzer at 182 Brewster Rd., New Castle, PA 16102, or 724-667-8863. We never ask you to sell more than ten tickets, unless you ask for more! Unsold tickets can be returned to be sold at the door. This dinner is the best deal in the county! Help us spread the word!
The Committee gives special thanks to the Rainbow for Girls and DeMolay from New Castle and Pittsburgh for their efforts in setting up, serving, and cleaning. This year for the first time, students from Cray House in New Castle assisted in the final clean-up. Our thanks to these students for their assistance.
