The Valley of New Castle

We hear about the RULE of THUMB, the general rule applied;
Most everyone is conscious of the GOLDEN RULE to guide.
AS A RULE we measure distance, or performance toward a goal.
We establish RULES to play the game; RULES always play a role.

Yet, as a RULE. lest we PLUMB forget, to maintain a LEVEL keel
Somewhat like pour failure to maintain our daily BALANCED meal.
Are we SQUARE in our relations when we enter into a deal?
Do we ENCOMPASS FAIRNESS. What does the TRUTH reveal?

There is a special RULE for every action, and a reason it exists;
So as to regulate in FAIRNESS, the ADOPTED RULE persists.
There is a certain satisfaction, in always abiding by the RULE,
In achieving gains that prosper both the WORKER and the TOOL.

So focus on the COMPASS, maintain LEVEL with the SQUARE.
Whatever pride you may confess, be sure you are always fair.
Then, you will never face a burden, so heavy you can't bear.
YOU, can proudly be a MASON, as you TRAVEL anywhere.
